Florent Hadergjonaj is calling on Huddersfield to repeat last season’s display at Manchester City when they meet on Sunday. The 24-year-old Switzerland international right-back played 23 times for the Terriers in the Premier League last term during a season-long loan from German outfit Ingolstadt.
Hadergjonaj made the move permanent in the transfer window and, having been disappointed by the opening day 3-0 home defeat against Chelsea, he is hoping they can repeat last season’s goalless draw at the Etihad Stadium this weekend.
“We have shown last year that we can take points off every team,” he said in the Examiner. “Last year we got a 0-0 result against Manchester City away, so I don’t see why we can’t do that again in the new season.”
Hadergjonaj added: “We have to keep going and look back at this game and take the positives out of it, and take them into next week’s game against Manchester City.”
