Everton will be without the suspended Richarlison for their Carabao Cup second-round clash with Rotherham tonight. The Brazilian forward saw red during Saturday’s 2-2 draw at Bournemouth and must serve a three-match ban, the first of which comes tonight against the Millers.
Richarlison would probably have been rested anyway as Marco Silva looks to make sweeping changes to the side, and the fact he will miss one less Premier League game is a boost for the Toffees.
Defender Phil Jagielka is also suspended and will serve the final game of his own three-match ban.
Elsewhere, Michael Keane is absent after being ruled out for the next four weeks with a fractured skull, as are summer signings Yerry Mina (foot) and Andre Gomes (hamstring).
However Toffees fans could get their first glimpses of Kurt Zouma and Bernard, who could make their first starts since arriving at Goodison Park this summer.
Meanwhile, Rotherham boss Paul Warne has admitted he will make changes for the game.
The Millers recorded their second Championship win of the season against Millwall on Sunday and Warne will rotate his team.
Defender Billy Jones could feature following a hip injury while Jamie Proctor, David Ball, Joe Newell and Clark Robertson could all get starts.
Darren Potter (Achilles) is the only injury victim and he will not play again this year.
