Tottenham are repotedly in the race with the likes of Manchester United and Juventus for the services of Ajax star Matthijs de Ligt.
The Italians are leading the race for the Netherlands defender, who is very highly rated and looks set for a big move at some point in the future with reports in Italy claiming Juventus are ready to pay in the region of £40m.
Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is certainly keen on adding some more quality to his side, especially with the future of Toby Alderweireld unclear with Manchester United still said to be interested.
Alderweireld has a clause in his current contract that will allow him to leave for £24.4million at the end of the season and unless Spurs can get him tied down to a new one, with no such clause, they risk losing him on the cheap.
A move for the 19-year-old De Ligt could be on the cards but Tottenham will have to move quickly as Juve are now in talks in the hope of landing him in January.
