Toulouse coach Sylvain Houles has hit out at the Qualifiers schedule as he feels his side are at a disadvantage. The French club come up against Salford in the final round of fixtures as they bid for a place in the Super League.
Toulouse play on Thursday and could secure promotion without needing to contest the Million Pound Game with a win, but they could also finish in the bottom three depending on results elsewhere.
Houles’ side are involved in the first fixture of the final round of games due to TV scheduling and the coach believes that hands their rivals an advantage.
“It’s the most important weekend and it’s a little bit of a disadvantage to be playing first,” he said.
“Every other team will know what they have to do and we experienced that already after the first phase when London knew exactly how many points they needed to win by at Barrow.”
Toulouse currently occupy fifth spot and if they lose in Salford will miss out on the Million Pound Game if London avoid defeat on Saturday at home to Halifax, who are yet to pick up a point in their six outings in the Qualifiers.
