Wakefield Trinity back Ryan Hampshire has revealed his delight after finally penning a one-year extension. The 23-year-old signed for the Super League outfit from Leigh Centurions following their relegation ahead of the 2018 campaign.
He went on to make 25 appearances this season, scoring five tries and kicking 58 goals, to help Wakefield finish fifth in the Super 8s.
Wakefield had previously stated their intention to keep hold of Hampshire and after lengthy talks he has finally penned a one-year extension.
Hampshire said: “It has took a while and it is about time it has been done.
“But it is another year at a good club and I am looking forward to it.
“The fans have been onto me most of the year to stay and right now it is the right move for me.”
