Tuimavave Wants Healthy Hull Team

Carlos Tuimavave says he is hoping Hull FC have more luck in the injury department when the 2019 season gets underway. The Airlie Birds were hampered by several injuries over the course of the 2018 campaign and that happened to coincide with the club’s worst run of eleven-straight defeats to end a disappointing season.

Hull finished bottom of the Super 8s after ending up sixth in the regular Super League standings, and head coach Lee Radford will be looking for a big improvement from his side next year.

New Zealander Tuimavave, like so many of his team-mates, spent some time in the treatment room last season and he is hoping the injuries are kept to a minimum this time around “We’re looking forward to the season, but we’ve definitely got a lot of work to do, especially with the way we ended last season,” he told the club’s official website.

“We picked up a lot of injuries, so that means we’ve got to prepare well for that by getting our bodies stronger and more durable. “You can certainly be more proactive by doing more rehab after games, but I think you also need a bit of luck to avoid injury sometimes, and hopefully we can have some of that on our side for a big 2019.”
