Wane – I Have Lived The Dream

Wigan Warriors boss Shaun Wane has said he “lived the dream” after he ended his time at the club with another Grand Final triumph. The Warriors boss guided Wigan to a 12-4 win at Old Trafford on Saturday as Warrington Wolves lost yet another final.

Wane will move on this month after 30 years at the club as both a player and a coach.

He watched on as Josh Charnley opened the scoring for Warrington but Tom Davies crossed over before Dom Manfredi grabbed a brace.

Wane will now move on to rugby union after winning his fifth Grand Final and he admits he has loved every second of his time at the DW Stadium.

“I love the players so much,” a tearful Wane told BBC Radio 5 live.

“I’m ecstatic. I hope I’ve played my bit.
“I’ve enjoyed myself and I’ve lived the dream. I’m going onto something else but my memories here are the best.”
