Victor Wanyama could add to Tottenham’s injury woes with reports he has picked up a hamstring problem.
The 27-year-old has been away on international duty with Kenya and scored a penalty in their 3-0 win over Ethiopia
Wanyama’s goal helped his country seal their place in the Africa Cup of Nations for the first time in 15 years.
However, he failed to see the game out, limping off with what is reportedly a hamstring issue.
Wanyama has endured his fair share of injury problems over the years, missing four months of last season after tearing cartilage in his knee and also lost a chunk of pre-season to another knee problem.
Spurs are lacking numbers in midfield with Dele Alli, Christian Eriksen and Mousa Dembele currently in the treatment room.
Tottenham’s next game sees them head east across the capital to West Ham on Saturday and Mauricio Pochettino will be keen to get the midfielder back to London to ensure he receives the required treatment on the injury.
