Paul Waring and Thomas Aiken will take a three-shot lead into the final round of the Nordea Masters after reaching -12 in Sweden. Waring shared the third-round lead with Scott Jamieson on 11-under par and he improved by one shot after carding three birdies and a couple of bogeys in a round of 69.
Scotland’s Jamieson went the other way, signing for a disappointing 75 as two birdies were offset by seven bogeys at Hills Golf Club.
Aiken mixed six birdies with three dropped shots en route to a 67 and is now in pole position to land a fourth European Tour title.
The chasing pack includes Scotland’s Marc Warren and Thorbjorn Olesen of Denmark, who shot rounds of 66 and 67 respectively to move to -9, while Germany’s Maximilian Kieffer has sole possession of fifth place on eight-under.
Australian duo Adam Bland and Lucas Herbert sit on -7 alongside England’s Lee Slattery.
Robert Rock, Nino Bertasio and Sebastian Gros joined Jamieson on -6 but seem to have too much to do to bridge the gap to the leading pair.
