Watford, Celtic and Fenerbahce are reportedly showing interest in Akhmat Grozny left-back Milad Mohammadi. Watford are understood to have been tracking Mohammadi for some time and, given Javi Gracia’s recent comments about Jose Holebas, he could be looking to bolster the left-back area in his squad.
Gracia admitted he found it difficult to manage the Greece international’s emotions after Holebas picked up a sixth booking of the season against Newcastle United on Saturday.
The Hornets will face competition for Mohammadi from Celtic, who have continued to keep tabs on him in the Russian Premier League this term.
Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers is keen to improve his squad in January as he looks to bring some cover and competition for Kieran Tierney at left-back. Meanwhile, Turkish giants Fenerbahce are ready to battle both British clubs for the 25-year-old.
Mohammadi is out of contract at Akhmat Grozny next summer and free to sign a pre-contract agreement with interested clubs when the transfer window reopens in January.
