Wolves are looking to sign Lazio defender Jordan Lukaku in January, according to a report in the Belgian media. The Premier League new boys had hoped to lure Manchester City’s Oleksandr Zinchenko to Molineux before the transfer window slammed shut last week but he opted to stay the Etihad Stadium.
Boss Nuno feels that he is still light in the left wing-back position and has an eye on the younger brother of Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku, who has made 64 appearances in all competitions for the Rome club since joining from Oostende in 2016.
The West Midlanders have already spent big this summer in an attempt to establish themselves as a top-flight outfit, but Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri is suggesting that they may well dip into the club’s coffers once again in the winter window.
It is claimed that the 24-year-old and his representatives have already held a meeting with Wolves owner Guo Guangchang in Brussels.
Lukaku is reportedly keen to play in England but it remains to be seen if Lazio will sanction any move halfway through their campaign.
