Zaha Stokes The Fires

Crystal Palace ace Wilfried Zaha says his two goals against Brighton in the Championship play-offs back in May 2013 are his favourites. As the two sides prepare to meet in the M23 derby, Zaha has stoked the fires between the two rivals by claiming his brace at the Amex Stadium that night was his favourite moment in a Palace shirt.

“Probably scoring two goals against Brighton at their stadium, because obviously they thought they were going to win,” he said when asked what his favourite moment at Palace was.

“The game before Glenn Murray (Murray at that time was a Palace player) got injured, so they thought they had it in the bag and were going to win for sure, and I happened to score two goals that night that got us through, so definitely that night.”

The Eagles go into the clash on the back of their first win since September in the Premier League when they overcame Burnley at home.
