Former Super left-back Ben Iroha is optimistic that the Stephen Keshi-led Eagles will improve as the World Cup progresses.
Reacting to the disappointing 0-0 draw with the Mehli of Iran, the one-time defender who was part of the Nigerian squad to the USA 94 World Cup urges Nigerians to back tbe team as they seek to bounce back in their next game against Bosnia-Herzegovina.
“The performance was not necessarily a satisfying one but we (Super Eagles) will improve in the next game. We should support the boys,” Iroha pleads.
Similarly, former Flying Eagles midfielder Kola Anubi tells Completesportsnigeria.com that the team will lift their spirits for the next game, knowing the consequences of not getting a win over Bosnia.
“Just like Nigerians, the players will not be happy by their performance, so they will lift their game and spirit.
“There’s room to improve in a game of football. So I believe they can play better than what they did against Iran.
“The team need our support more than ever before,” the Warri Wolves player concludes.
The Super Eagles will play Bosnia on Saturday at 11 pm Nigerian time.
