Iroha Hails Amaju, Charges New NFF Boss On 2015 AFCON Ticket

Nigeria coach, Ben Iroha has urged newly elected President of Nigeria Football Federation to ensure that the Super Eagles qualified for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations slated for morocco.

Iroha believed that despite poor start to qualification campaign, extra work by the leadership of NFF now under Amaju can turn things around so that the defending champions can be in Morocco to defend their crown.

“I’m personally impressed that the election has finally come and gone without hitches. We now expect the new President, Amaju Pinnick, to sit down for work”, starts Iroha, a former Nigeria international and ex-Super Eagles assistant coach said from USA on Sunday.

“The immediate task at hand is the Nations Cup qualification, the Super Eagles must be at the 2015 AFCON and this is a task the new leadership of NFF must try to accomplish.

“Yes, the Super Eagles did not start the campaign well but it’s not yet late for something to be done and this can come true with victories over Sudan in the coming games.

“Amaju and his team must put all hands on deck; they must convince Nigerians that the Nations Cup could be our birth right by ensuring the Super Eagles qualified and defend the cup well out there in Morocco.”

The former Vitesse of Holland and one time Golden Eaglets assistant coach noted that unity is key to success and urged the new NFF boss to re-unite all factions in the nation’s house of football.
