By James Agberebi: Nigerian striker Anthony Nwakaeme was on target for Hapoel Beer Sheva in their 2-0 away win against second division side, Hapoel Ramat Gan, in Round 16 of the Israeli Cup on Tuesday, Completesportsnigeria.com (CSN)
Two first half goals from Guy Melamed and Nwakaeme from the penalty spot, sealed Beer Sheva’s place in the last eight.
Melamed put Beer Sheva 1-0 up in the 33rd minute before Nwakaeme converted a 43rd minute penalty to end the game 2-0.
Nwakaeme’s last goal for Beer Sheva was on December 25, 2017 when he scored one of the goals in a 2-0 home win against Maccabi Haifa in a league clash.
He went four straight games without scoring for Beer Sheva before finally netting against Hapoel Ramat Gan.
They will return to league action on Saturday when they will host Hapoel Ra’anana.
