Iwobi, Abdullahi Happy To Beat ‘Tough’ Poland, Look Forward To Serbia Clash

Super Eagles stars Alex Iwobi and Shehu Abdullahi have praised the team’s 1-0 victory over Poland in Friday night’s friendly international at the Stadion Miejski, Wraclow.

Arsenal forward Alex Iwobi admitted that the Polish team were a tough nut to crack which made the victory worthwhile.

The 21 year old forward tweeted after the win: “Na Sooo, Victory against A Tough Poland Side…Up Naijaaa.”

Iwobi was subbed off on the hour mark in his 15th Super Eagles appearance for Ahmed Musa.

His teammate, Abdullahi who’s on the books of Turkey’s Super Lig side Bursaspor, is already looking towards the next game against Serbia in London on Tuesday.

The right back also took to his Twitter handle to say:

“Big win tonight against Poland. Massive performance from the squad. Serbia next in London.”

Abdullahi was subbed off for Tyrone Ebuehi after he was seeing clutching his calf in the second half of the game.
