Super Eagles winger Alex Iwobi missed out through illness as Arsenal beat their hosts Cardiff City 3-2 in their Premier League clash at the Cardiff City Stadium on Sunday, reports Completesportsnigeria. com.
The Gunners took the lead through Shkodran Mustafi in the 12th minute.
The German raced into the box to power home Granit Xhaka’s delivery into the top corner.
Arsenal wasted a number of chances afterwards and were made to pay for those missed opportunities when Victoria Camarasa levelled scores for the hosts in the second minute of added time in the first half.
It was Cardiff City’s first goal in the Premier League this season.
Arsenal took the lead for the second time in the game in the 62nd minute with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang expertly curling the ball into the far corner after he was teed up by Alexander Lacazette.
The lead lasted only just eight minutes before Daniel Ward equalised for Cardiff City.
Lacazette scored the winning goal for Arsenal nine minutes from time.
