Nigeria forward Alex Iwobi insists finishing in the Premier League top four positions remains just as realistic a target for Arsenal as winning the Europa League.
Arsenal are currently sixth in the Premier League on 45 points, eight points off the Champions League places.
In the UEFA Europa League, Arsenal thrashed Swedish club Oestersunds 3-0 on Thursday night in their first-leg round 32 clash.
“We have to do our best in both competitions,” Iwobi told The Mirror.
“That’s what we are trying to do: get top four and also win this competition (Europa League). That’s the aim.”
Asked about his recent run in the Arsenal side, amid plenty of competition for attacking places at Arsenal, the 21-year-old Super Eagles star said: “I’m still learning, I’m still young. I’m still learning from the lads like Mesut Ozil and Mkhitaryan. Every time I play, I am grateful.”
And on the return leg against Oestersunds on Thursday, Iwobi added: “You could say that [we have one foot in the next round] but there is still a job to do and we have to do it at home. There is still half the tie to play.
“First [before the final] we have to focus on Thursday, take each game step by step. We have to prepare one more game before that.”
