By Johnny Edward:

Super Eagles forward Alex Iwobi scored his first Premier League goal of the season for Arsenal who maintained their winning streak with a 3-1 win over Stoke City on Saturday.

It was Iwobi's first goal for the Gunners in eight months in the league and his second goal this season after his strike in the UEFA Champions League last Tuesday.

Iwobi replaced Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in the 69th minute in what was his 11th appearance of the season.

Charlie Adam put Stoke in the lead with a penalty but Theo Walcott equalised in the 42nd minute.

Mesut Ozil made it 2-1 for Arsenal in the 59th minute before Iwobi made it 3-1 for Arsene Wenger's side.

The win sees the Gunners move up top of the log with Chelsea yet to play on Sunday.

At the Liberty Stadium, Victor Anichebe played all 90 minutes for Sunderland who lost 3-0 to Swansea.

Gylfi Sigurdsson opened scoring for the Swans before Llorente bagged a second half brace.

Anichebe has scored three goals in seven games.

The defeat meant the Black Cats drop to 20th position in the league table.
