Iwobi Thrilled With Arsenal Destruction Of Everton; Praises Aubameyang, Mkhitaryan

By Adeboye Amosu: Nigeria forward Alex Iwobi is pleased to see Arsenal get back to winning ways after midweek’s disappointing 3-1 Premier League defeat to Swansea at the Liberty Stadium, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
The Gunners proved they are still a force  to reckon with in the English Premier League with a 5-1 thumping of Everton at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday, quickly erasing the memories of Swansea defeat.
“We are pleased with the performance. It’s annoying that we conceded a goal, but it was still a good performance by the team,” Iwobi told Arsenal’s official website.
Despite the win, Arsene Wenger’s men till have much work to do as they currently sit in the sixth position, five points behind Chelsea who occupy fourth place.
Iwobi however insisted that the team will use the win against Everton as motivation to achieve their objective of picking a Champions League ticket.
“Of course we’re going to use this as a confidence boost. We just need to be consistent now,” he declared.

The occasion was made more memorable for Arsenal fans with the club’s  record signing Pierre Emerick Aubameyang scoring on his debut following his arrival from Borrussia Dortmund.

Iwobi hailed the Gabonese forward for his immediate impact at the club.
“You can see that he’s got electric pace and an eye for goal as well. He was involved in the link-up play as well, so we’re definitely happy to have him and we can’t wait to see what he brings to the team,” Super Eagles star Iwobi added.
“He’s fun. He’s learning faces but he’s definitely enjoying his time here and there’s still more to come from him.”
Iwobi also had some kind words for Henrikh Mkhitaryan who also impressed on his full home debut by setting up three goals against the Toffees.
“We’ve seen glimpses in training and we were just waiting to see it on the pitch. As you can see from today, he’s just an amazing player,” Iwobi said.
“With the quality players we have up front, we’re always going to create chances. You could see that we scored five today and we created even more chances.”
