That’s how you answer critics boy. A fit Joel Obi is absolutely significant for the SuperEagles in Russia. Joel, Mikel, Ndidi midfield will be a joy to behold.

  • Joel obi is a very good player. Fans don’t want to see their side loosing or a player making mistakes. They expect best best everytime but is that how life is?

Hes good but surely hes not a better defensive midfielder than Ndidi. As for whether he is better than Onazi I cannot say. But if we should judge solely based on his performance in the two friendlies I would say Onazi may be better. However, the friendlies only will not be a fair yardstick to compare him and Onazi.

I don’t think Joel Obi’s performance for the Super Eagles was “disappointing.” How did the writer come about that?

I think he’s better than Onazi. Although I wouldn’t mind a Mikel, Ndidi, Onazi pairing either because they’ve been the preferred choice during the qualifiers. Mikel and Ndidi are untouchable, but the fight for the third man will probably be among Joel Obi, Onazi and Etebo. Anyone of them can claim that spot. In a competitive environment I’m sure Joel Obi will hold his own once he’s fit.

  • @ paschal..weldone bro, I just want a favour from u. I want u to take ur time and watch only Onazi in d replay of the friendlies. Its obvious that been d people’s choice then, 80% focus was on Joel during d two friendlies. And don’t forget to watch Nigeria vs south Africa too.. Thanks.
