Joseph Yobo For Arsenal?, What Do You Think?

Joseph Yobo For Arsenal?, What Do You Think?

Former Super Eagles captain Joseph Yobo has been touted as a possible free agent signing for Barclays Premier League giants Arsenal.

The Gunners’ boss Arsene Wenger failed to sign a defender before the end of the transfer window in the summer.

Sadly, the north London side on Saturday, 27 September 2014 suffered injuries to key players namely midfielders; Mikel Arteta and Aaron Ramsey and had lost defender Mathieu Debuchy to a long term injury which makes Arsenal’s backline thin at the moment.

Yobo’s last club was Turkish club Fenerbahce who opted not to renew the contract of the 101-capped former Nigeria international.

Is Yobo a good fit for the Gunners who have been extremely unlucky on the injury front?

Would Yobo offer a much needed experience and calmness to Arsenal or would Wenger be making a mistake in signing him?

Signing Yobo in January is better than not signing any defender. He is manageable, if only he can minimize his own goal promos, as he did to Nigeria in his last game for Super Eagles against France at the World Cup.

  • Yobo going to Arsenal will be a very added advantage to Arsenal football club, experience cannot be bought also those of you saying his own goal, his own that need to understand football, it can happen to anybody, also his long days in football will relax the lads in the dressing room, Arsenal needs his kind, after all, when other players are back from injury he def will be dropped, or use, so he is an added advantage for them at this moment.

  • to view josep yobo is ful of experince. He will fit because arsenal have alot of injure players this season. Look at what happen to nigeria in qualifier against congo super eagle lack defensive experience because yobo. Wat has never happen to nigeria 4 pass 20 years

  • Joseph Yobo can still do it again even better. considering his experience I think he would surprise a lot of people who are looking down on him just because he is a Nigerian. That guy is still good, I don’t know why we Nigerians don’t always speak positively mostly to our people, it’s high time for us to change these our bad mentality for good.

Arsenal had better look elsewhere.Bringing on Yobo is an invitation for basket of own goals.

  • pls this issue of own goal lets drop it if Wenger knows what’s good for him he better sign yobo bicos b4 d middle of d season his defencive department will definitely run down.
