Kane Bags Hat Trick As Tottenham Maul West Brom 4-0

Tottenham Hotspur recorded their seventh straight win of the English Premier League season outclassing West Bromwich Albion 4-0 at White Hart Lane on Saturday.

A hat-trick from Harry Kane and an own goal from Gareth McAuley earned the hosts another massive win at the Lane.

The result sees Mauricio Pochettino's men move up to second place ahead of Liverpool who face Manchester United on Sunday.

Harry Kane opened scoring for the hosts in the 12th minute after he was played  through on goal by Christian Eriksen following Spurs' totally dominating possession in the opening stages of the encounter.

The goal was Kane's 60th goal for Tottenham Hotspur in 99 EPL games.

West Brom defence struggled to curtail the rampaging attack of Spurs and almost conceded a second goal when Danny Rose fired a 25 yards out which went off target.

Kane who should have bagged a double brace in the encounter came agonizingly close to scoring from Dembele's cross, but Foster made a goal-line save.

In the 26th minute, Gareth McAuley unfortunately deflected in Christian Eriksen's shot past Foster for Spurs' second.

The Dane's shot took an initial nick off Olsson before striking his defensive partner.

It could have been 3-0 in the 30th minute after Dele Alli's swift move and finish in the box was ruled out for for an offside.

At the restart of the second half, West Brom did well to stop the hosts from getting into their stride but it was just for the opening 15 minutes.

And in the 77th minute, McAuley who was making his 200th EPL appearance was robbed of the ball by Kyle Walker from the right flank and his perfect cross was volleyed in by Kane for his 12th goals in his last 13 games for the club.

Kane completed his hat trick after he exchanged a nice passes with Dele Alli who flicked the ball back to his path for the striker to slam his shot low past Foster for his first hat trick of the season.

Spurs will face Manchester City in their next game.
