Harry Kane was the match winner for Tottenham Hotspur who defeated Crystal Palace 1-0 in Sunday’s English Premier League game at Selhurt Park.
Kane headed in his 24th English Premier League goal of the season two minutes before stoppage time.
The win moves Tottenham Hotspur into fourth place in the EPL table with 55 points from 28 games pending the outcome of the encounter between Manchester United and Chelsea.
Tottenham outplayed their hosts and missed several chances to score against Palace who were very poor in the first half.
Kane, Christian Ericksen and Mousa Dembele all saw their goal-bound efforts saved by Wayne Hennessy in the first half.
Serge Aurier also missed a sitter to tap in from four yards to give Mauricio Pochettino’s side a win in the 84th minute.
Kane grabbed the winner in the 88th minute, heading in Erickson’s cross two minutes from time.
The defeat leaves Crystal Palace who are without a win in their last four games in 16th position ahead of the relegation zone with a superior goal difference.
