Kano Pillars Consider UAE, S/Africa for Champions League Training Tour

Nigeria champions Kano Pillars will consider a training tour of United Arab Emirates or South Africa in their quest to give the country a good representation at the CAF Champions League next year.

An inside source hinted AfricanFootball.com that the team are working on training outside the country for the competition and Dubai and South Africa are now being considered by the club management.

“We hope to do well at next year’s Champions League and the management has hinted at setting up camp in UAE (Dubai) or South Africa,” informed a source.

“This is to avoid distraction and make us prepare well for the competition so as to do well than our previous outings.”

Pillars won Nigeria league in the 2013/2014 season for the third straight campaign and will represent Nigeria in the CAF Champions League alongside runners-up Enyimba.

Their best performance in the Champions League was achieved in 2009, when they reached the semi-finals.

They trained in South Africa prior to that campaign.
