Kano Pillars forward, Gambo Mohammed is keen on winning the NPFL title this season after losing the crown to Enyimba last term, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
Enyimba ended the Sai Masu Gida's three year dominance in the Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL, last season by claiming a historic seventh title.
Mohammed Babaganaru's men have started the season on a bright note with three wins, a draw and defeat from their opening five games of the campaign and sit in second position on the table.
"We are still hurt by the way things went for us last season. We felt we could have done better, but is all in the past now," Mohammmed told Completesportsnigeria.com.
"We have started well this time around and I believe with the quality we have in the squad, we can reclaim the title again.
Today (Sunday), the Pyramid City side will face Lobi Stars in a week six tie at the Aper Aku Stadium, Makurdi
Last season, the two sides served up a six- goal rip roaring contest and Mohammed is expecting another tough encounter.
"It's going to be a tough contest, but if we give our best we will come out with a positive result."
