Former Super Eagles striker and captian Nwankwo Kanu on Wednesday paid a visit to the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital (UNTH), Enugu in his continued efforts to assist less privileged Nigerians suffering from heart ailments.
The 1996 and 1999 African Footballer of the Year took to Twitter to call on Nigerians to support the cause.
“Visit to UNTH Enugu to see the heart patients and the facilities. Kanu Heart Foundation in partnership,” Kanu tweeted.
“Kanu Heart Foundation is looking for help and help can come from anywhere, so help the less privileged kids because they need help. We (K.H.F) are doing our best,” ‘Papilo’ pleaded via the social media platform.
The Kanu Heart Foundation have helped treat more than 5,000 children and even adults with heart diseases.
The former Iwuanyanwu Nationale(Heartland), Ajax Amsterdam , Inter Milan and Portsmouth forward is presently the Nigeria Football Federation Ambassador.
