Keshi Blasts NFF Over Foreign Coach

Out of contract Super Eagles coach, Stephen Keshi has hit back at suggestions the Nigeria Football Federation may opt for a foreign coach following his failure to qualify Nigeria for next year’s Africa Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea.

Keshi is vehemently opposing the move and wants the NFF led by Amaju Pinnick to also ensure they get foreign players that will play for the country if they must go ahead with the plan to hire a foreign coach.

” We should also bring foreign players to play for Nigeria. So if they bring a white foreign European Coach, they should come along with ‘Oyinbo’ [white] players.” Keshi told www.footballlive.ng in an interview.

The Big Boss, as Keshi was called during his playing days is yet to be offered a new contract by the NFF and there are insinuations he may be offered one soon as he enjoys the support of the president ,Goodluck Jonathan who ordered his reinstatement after he was sacked last month by the NFF.

Many Nigerians and some members of the NFF executive committee however feel Keshi should take a walk after his transition from hero to zero following the unimpressive performances and ouster of the Eagles from next year’s AFCON.

But Keshi is adamant that he is the right man to lead the Super Eagles into the future.
“If a team fails, sacking the coach won’t solve the problem. The authority should look beyond the coach to find solutions to the problem.

“I can’t deny it is a shame that we failed to qualify. On my part, I failed the nation but my players took South Africa for granted, a match they needed to win,” Keshi said.

When you, Keshi, their coach, saw that they were taking South Africa for granted, what did you do to turn the negative attitude around? You were the only one to read the match and dish out instructions, even if you use your lieutenants to read the match. On match day, the buck stops on your table, period, no excuses. You are the architect of whatever befalls you.

After leading Nigeria to a woeful failure, keshi refused to take responsibility. Is south African match the only match of the qualifiers? How did he mess up our qualification in other matches? Congo beat us at home, the 3 points Sudan got was from Nigeria. What a shame! After losing, keshi wants to play activist role. He boasted that he had offers. Where are the offers now? Keshi should take a walk to retain his status as a hero.

It is suprising the stuff Keshi is saying in his selfish bid to remain coach of Nigeria. Keshi was the foreign coach of Mali did they bring Nigerian players to play for them while Keshi was the foreign coach. Keshi would have happily gone to south africa if he got the job as foreign coach.

Countries with strong football histories and much better football leagues than Nigeria have foreign coaches very recently and currently . Turkey, Russia, Egypt, Cameroon, Algeria, England, Scotland, Ivory Coast., South Korea. So when did it become a sin to have a foreign coach.

Mr. Keshi thanks you very much for your service to Nigeria, however your time is up, please walk away now and step aside. Thanks

Mr Keshi, please leave the post of the Super Eagles. You don’t have a contract with the NFF again. Go, please go. Your service is no longer needed. You told every Nigerians that you have at least 3 Countries that want to hirer you, go there. You also said that you can’t die if the post is taking away from you, leave. Mikel Obi is an arrogant, rude and lazy man, we don’t know maybe he is a defensive midfielder or an offensive midfielder. You always use him. He has given you bribe. Go,go,go.
