Keshi: Our Mentality’ll See Us Through

Super Eagles coach Stephen Keshi believes his team have the mental strength to overcome the threat of
France in Monday’s Round of 16 game against France.

Nigeria have not reached the last 16 of the World Cup in 16 years but achieved that after emerging as runners-up behind Argentina in Group F of the 2014 World Cup.

“Our mentality has been strong. Our approach to every game has always been the same – to win.

“We are up against a strong side, but we will give our best in the game,” Keshi assured.

Meanwhile, captain Joseph Yobo
has expressed his elation with the assurance given by Nigerian President of his support to the team.

“We’re also inspired that Mr. President (Goodluck Jonathan) has assured that he will come to watch our game in the quarter-finals if we win against France,” states Yobo.

One thing the the team lacks is the urgency and hunger to make the moments count.I wish the super eagles the best.

Up Super eagles in another uphill task of breaking another milestone in the match against France without their match maker Ribery, I know the super eagles will subdue France under 90 minutes duration time and I pray for our Africa brother Algeria in the match against the German machine, which either of the two will be our opponent in the Nigeria first ever quarter final.
