Keshi: I Have Not Ruled Out Uche

Keshi: I Have Not Ruled Out Uche

Nigeria coach Stephen Keshi has insisted he has not shut out for good Villarreal striker Ikechukwu Uche.

Clarifying what he said at Wednesday’s media parley in Abuja, Keshi said for the umpteenth time what he said was that he will not beg Uche to play for Nigeria, especially when there are other players who are willing and ready at all times to play for the country.

“I don’t know where they got that portion of their reports from, but I never said Uche won’t play as long as I remain coach of the team. In the near future if he changes his mind and indicates interest to play he will be considered on merit,” Keshi maintained.

He urged the media not to sensationalise the Uche issue as it will not help resolve anything.
“We have to help all our players grow so that we can all build a strong national team and the media is a partner in this regard,” the coach said.

“ I do not have anything personal against the Villarreal striker but will not force to play for Nigeria against his will.”

Keshi I hope you are not trying to justify playing Sunday Emmanuel with the excuse of helping all our players grow. You cannot take an unknown untested, inexperienced player and give him his first game in a must win crucial away game. It does not make sense. Any lay man on the street who watched the Sudan game today October 11, knows that he does not have the quality to be in the team

Keshi your questionable decisions and the poor play and results of the team has sealed your fate. I commend you for Wining the African cup, but the time has come for you to go. I advise that you voluntarily step aside before the NFF does it for you.

  • He does not have a contract with NFF, so let him just walk. It is very easy for NFF not to renew.

  • @Kola(Useless), I said it that Keshi is not good enough for us, but you and other blind supporters who knows next to nothing in football will abuse me and my parents. Game147, Cambioso, se una don see?

Keshi Must gohis tactis is too damn poor, how can he let mikel to keep moving out of position,Onazi can’t cover alone, especially when Ambrose is always out of hi position….
in fact, all our guy are not always in position, they played like a team that is playing together for the first time without a coach…..i want to wake an hear that Ebola Keshi is sack.

it is high time Kechi leave the team, we need a foreign manager who have tactis and game plan. For over five years now can not give us first 11, is a pity that the Nff is not doing anything about that Beleaved me with Kechi notting should be expected.

    • YES BROTHERS AND SISTERS, YEA KESHI MIGHT HAVE MADE A SILLY MISTAKE WHICH I ADMITTED AND HIMSELF DID TOO BUT IN THE SPIRIT OF A REAL AND TRUE NIGERIAN, I WANT TO SUBMIT TO US THAT THE DEVIL WE KNOW IS FAR BETTER THAN THE ANGEL WE KNOW NOT. LET US NOT TALK ABOUT FOREIG COACHES NOW BECAUSE IF DO NOW WE ARE GIVING THE NFF POWER TO PLAY POLITICE WITH FOOTBALL AGAIN. PLEASE MY BELOVED BRETHREN LETS FIRST WARN NFF TO STOP PLAYING POLITICE WITH BELOVED GAME AND THEN TALK TO KESHI TO LEAVE SENTIMENTS ON THIS GAME WE THE NIGERIANS LOVE SO MUCH. AND EVEN IF THEY WANT TO LET KESHI GO THEY SHOULD NOT THINK OF ANY FOREIGN COACH BUT EMPLOY ONE OF OUR SON WHO KNOWS THIS GAME. EVEN THOUGH SAMSON IS GOOD BUT HE IS ARROGANT TOO BUT MY NOTION IN THE WHOLE THIHING IS LETS US ALLOW OUR INDIGENEOUS COACH(ES) HANDLE OUR NATIONAL TEAM PLEASE MY PEOPLE . IF WE TALK OF FOREIGN COACH THE WORST WILL HAPPEN. IF YOU WATCH NOW YOU WILL SEE THAT KESHI IS WORRIED BUT IF HE WAS A FOREIGN COACH HE WOULD HAVE SHOWN LESS CONCERN ATTITUDE. BUT NOW YOU CAN SEE THAT HE IS SO MUCH CONCERN AND IN TENSE BECAUSE THIS IS HIS OWN THING. AND HE CAN’T LIKE ALL HE BUILT FOR THIS YEARS WENT AWAY JUST LIKE. PLEASE BRETHREN LETS ALLOW KESHI TO CONTINUE HIS JOB. BUT PLEASE KESHI YOU SHOULD NOT TAKE THIS PERSONAL, SO PLEASE HAVE A LISTENING EAR AND HEAR THE MASSES CRY WHEN THEY DO. THOSE PLAYERS WE WATCH EVERYTIME PERFORMING GREATLY IN THEIR LOCAL CLUBS HAVE TO BE IMMEDIATELY BE CALL UP FOR THE MATCH OF WEDNESDAY. WE STILL BELIEVE IN YOU AND KNOW GOD WILL GIVE US THE VICTORY. PERSONAL ISSUES YOU SHOULD NOT BRING IT INTO NATIONAL MATTER(S) THANKS MY BRETHREN
