Super Eagles coach Stephen Keshi is not allowing the controversy trailing his alleged application for the Cote d’ Ivoire coaching job to dampen his resolve to lead Nigeria to the Africa Cup of Nations, as he has submitted his programme for the game against Tanzania in September to the Nigeria Football Federation.
Official sources at the Glass House told completesportsnigeria.com that Keshi submitted his programme for the game which he titled ‘How to beat Tanzania’ last week to the NFF and, subject to approval of the technical committee, the list of players will follow.
According to the programme the camp is expected to open by the mIddle of August wIth the home-based players in Abuja before the overseas-based players join few days to the team’s departure to Tanzania.
Completesportsnigeria.com source revealed further that Keshi also submitted the technical report of the Super Eagles versus Chad Africa Cup of Nations game in Kaduna, noting that the NFF technical committee will meet to deliberate on the report.
A member of the Technical Committee told completesports.com that Keshi’s report is very comprehensive and timely too, adding that it was a welcome development as it will allow for the committee members to make inputs.
Keshi has been repeatedly telling his players that the best way to qualify for the AFCON slated to hold in Gabon next year is to win all their matches whether at home or away.
