–Akinbobola happy with Presidential intervention
The recall of Super Eagles head coach, Stephen Keshi has continued to elicit pleasant reaction from a wide spectrum of Nigeria football fraternity with Sunshine Stars of Akure chairman, Hon. Akin Akinbobola being the latest to voice his happiness over the Big Boss return for continuity.
The former board member of the Nigeria Premier League, NPL said Keshi’s return will give impetus to Super Eagles desire to qualify for the 2015 AFCON in Morocco.
He commended President Goodluck Jonathan for his efforts in ensuring that peace returned to Nigeria football.
“It is very important for all of us to bury the hatchet and find a peaceful ground towards solving the problem. It is not a problem for a particular group, but something that affects the passion of all soccer loving Nigerians”.
“We cannot achieve anything by dragging the name of the country into the mud all the time, it is important for every stake holder in the country to embrace peace and work together as members of the same family”.
“We must all appreciate the concern of Mr President in solving the problem as he has shown that he cares for all Nigerians and respect the passion that runs in the vein of Nigerians.
