Jurgen Klopp has described Liverpool’s 2-1 comeback win against Leicester City in the Premier League at Anfield as a perfect performance.
Liverpool found themselves behind just three minutes into the game as Jamie Vardy finished off Riyad Mahrez pass.
But two second half goals from Mohamed Salah, the Egypt forward’s 16th and 17th league goals of the season, gave Liverpool the win.
Klopp said:” in his post-match reaction: “It is a maximum satisfaction to win like this today and on perfect days we win football games. Today was pretty much perfect.
“When we were one goal down our reaction was the best I’ve ever seen in this situation. The crowd were unbelievable and we needed them today to score these two goals.”
Klopp went on to praise Salah and his other players for the fightback.
He said: “Mo [Salah] was fantastic with his dribbling and his vision. I couldn’t ask more from him. Staying in the game is the real deal of football in this league – but I am happy for Mo, I am happy for the team, because this group is a fantastic group of players. It’s a good team performance and a well-deserved win.”
