Ahead of his first Premier League game against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday, Liverpool's new manager Jurgen Klopp has promised an improved side this season.
Klopp made this promise at his first pre-match press conference on Thursday.
The former Dortmund boss hailed the players response in their first training.
"We had two very good training (sessions) – the boys are really willing to listen and understand what we want.
"Everything would be better if we worked together for six weeks but it's not a perfect world. It's no problem.
"The most important thing now is to train as often and as long as possible and not think about expectations outside ," Klopp said.
Klopp stressed why he opted for Liverpool, and went on to predict a tough game against Spurs.
"We have to be very active. We have to be ready to work, to enjoy the game. We play against very, very good team," the German said.
"I told the players of course I'm here because Liverpool is a great club but also because of them.
"It's not important how many faults you make in a game, it's important that nobody remembers after."
He confirms Joe Gomez has sustained an acute ligament injury but is yet to ascertain the extent of the injury.
"We have to wait for further diagnosis," he added:
He also reveals that Christian Benteke and Roberto Firmino are close to returning but are both unlikely to feature at Spurs.
