Kpohomouh Delighted With New Deal

Pascal Kpohomouh says he is feeling good after putting pen-to-paper on his first professional contract with Southampton. The Ghanian native, 17, joined the Saints from Manchester City this summer after being monitored by the club’s scouts and has made an impressive start to life for the Under-18’s side.

Kpohomouh has been rewarded with his first professional deal, penning a contract until June 2021, and he is looking forward to continuing his development as a footballer over the years to come.

“As a player, I feel happy,” he told the club’s official website. “Signing for a big club – I want to show how good I am. Obviously, I also want to uphold the reputation of the club. I’m getting used to the way Southampton play now. This is a different team, a different challenge.

“The club are renowned for bringing players through the Academy and providing a route to the first team. I knew that would be important on my journey to becoming a professional footballer.

“I think coming to this club, I’ve got a good chance of achieving that.”
