Lawal: Eagles Need Fresh Legs

Lawal: Eagles Need Fresh Legs

–Tasks Keshi on AFCON qualification

In the aftermath of the Super Eagles tepid start in the AFCON 2015 qualifying race, former winger, Garba Lawal has called for injection of new players into the team.

The former Esperance of Tunisia player believes the African Champions can still make it to Morocco 2015 but only if the coaching crew bring back quality players who have been left out of the team in recent times.

“These are some good players who have  been left out by the coaches for sometime now, who I believe can still help the team. “It`s important the coaches bring them back so that the team can get solid again.”

The Super Eagles face a daunting task in their bid to defend the title they won last year in South Africa, having picked only one point from their opening two games in the qualifying series. The three times African Champions will next face Sudan in Omdurman next month.
