By Adeboye Amosu: Poland head coach Adam Nawalka is set to deploy a 3-4-2-1 formation in Friday’s friendly against the Super Eagles of Nigeria, according to a report in Poland online news outlet przegladsportowy.pl.
The formation was first tested in November’s friendly game against Uruguay which ended in a 0-0 draw and was repeated in another test game against Mexico same month which the Poles lost 1-0.
Nawalka, according to the report, favours the new system and is keen for his side to perfect it before the 2018 FIFA World Cup where his charges will file out against another African team Senegal, Japan and Colombia in Group H.
Juventus goalkeeper Wojiech Szczęsny is expected to be in goal in goal against the Super Eagles ahead of Swansea City’s Lukasz Fabianski.
Captain Robert Lewandowski will lead the line with regulars like Łukasz Piszczek, Maciej Rybus,
Thiago Cionek and Kamil Glik also expected to be among the starters in the game.
The game will kick off at 8.45pm Nigerian time on Friday night.
