Liverpool have moved ahead of Arsenal and Spurs in the £9million battle for MK Dons’ whizz-kid Dele Alli.
Kop boss Brendan Rodgers is expected to complete the deal in the January transfer window.
But England Under-19’s midfielder Alli could then be immediately loaned back to the Milton Keynes club until the end of the season.
The Daily Star Sunday also revealed recently that even Germany’s champions Bayern Munich had been watching him.
But Liverpool are in pole position at the moment to win the battle. Alli signed a three-year contract only last month but that was to safeguard MK Dons’ position.
His valuation has risen steadily in the last year, from £2m up to£7m. With interest growing, Alli is now expected to move for £8m or £9m.
