“Lokosa is overjoyed at his invitation and he has expressed gratitude to the coach for including him in the 30-man provisional list for the World Cup. He also promised to try his best to convince the coach that he is good for the World Cup,” Babangida stated.
The Kano Pillars boss further disclosed that Lokosa, who has scored 18 goals in the NPFL this season, will undergo medicals with his unnamed new outfit and return to the country by May 20, adding that the striker is not on trial as being reported in the media.

On the choice of Bulgaria for Lokosa, the former Kano director of sports said: “We had several offers for him from USM Algiers, Al Hilal of Sudan, a Libyan club, a Tunisian side a team from Serbia but the Bulgarian offer was better and he chose that.”
