Arsenal and Chelsea will square off against each other in a London derby on Sunday at the Emirates Stadium, and two of Nigeria's leading movie stars in the comedy genre spoke exclusively to Completesportsnigeria.com, rooting for their clubs ahead of the big match.
Chinedu Ikedieze (aka Aki) and Osita Iheme (aka Pawpaw)who made their names in the Nigerian movie industry in the 2007 thriller 'Aki Na Ukwa' are passionate fans of both Arsenal and Chelsea respectively..
Ikedieze known as Aki, who supports Arsenal passionately said ahead of the match:
"Both teams have quality players and it will be a very interesting match.
"Arsenal have been in better form this season and I expect them to get a victory over Chelsea on Sunday.
"Arsene Wenger's team may not be the best team in England but they've been able to get the results which has seen them stay atop the league table right up till January," the Member of the Federal Republic (MFR) award holder told Completesportsnigeria.com.
Ikedieze believes Arsenal's injured stars, when fully recovered, will help the club claim the Barclays Premier League in over a decade along with those who held forth in their absence.
"With the likes of Alexis Sanchez, Santi Cazorla, Jack Wilshere, Tomas Rosicky and Francis Coquelin on their way back to full fitness, I expect the Gunners to compete for the title. Chelsea have beaten us for too long, this match is one that must not be lost," Aki stressed.
Osita Iheme, an ardent Chelsea fan, admits The Blues are going through a bad patch and have disappointed their fans, but insists that their poor form does not translate to losing against Arsenal.
"Yes, it is a bad season for us, but against Arsenal, the expectation is victory o.
"Chelsea may be going through a bad period, but the quality is still there.
Iheme popularly called Pawpaw further told Completesportsnigeria.com that Mourinho's attitude and management style might have contributed to Chelsea's present predicament.
"People have said a lot about the sacking of Jose Mourinho and how good they are playing now. My reaction to that is that one should dream big or go home.
"Perhaps Mourinho felt he has achieved all there is to achieve as far as coaching is concerned and was untouchable, but the league position was embarrassing and the owner had to act," Pawpaw reasoned.
"All the same, I predict a Chelsea win, a slim victory is what I see," Iheme concluded.
The Arsenal versus Chelsea match kicks off 5pm Nigerian time.
