Belgium continued their impressive scoring form at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia by defeating Tunisia 5-2 on Saturday.
Eden Hazard and Romelu Lukaku both scored twice in the encounter while Michy Batshuayi added the fifth.
Eden Hazard got Belgium off to a flying start, scoring the opener from the penalty spot after he was tripped Ben Youssef in the penalty area in the fifth minute.
Belgium had a good chance to make it 2-0 through Hazard but the Chelsea star scuffed Romelu Lukaku cross.
Lukaku made it 2-0 in the 16th minute, finishing off Dries Mertens’ pass from 14 yards.
Tunisia pulled one back one back through Dylan Bronn in the 18th minute.
On the stroke of half-time, Lukaku made it 3-1, dinking a shot over Ben Mustapha in goal for Tunisia from 12 yards.
Lukaku became the first player at the Russia 2018 World Cup to score with both feet and his head in open play. He is now also joint-top scorer with Cristiano Ronaldo on four points.
In the 51st minute, Hazard finished off a brilliant pass from Kevin De Bruyne to make it 4-1 for Roberto Martinez’s side.
Substitute Michy Batshuayi made it 5-1, firing a low cross in the 90th minutes.
Wahbi Khazri made it 5-2 with a side footed shot in added time of the encounter.
Belgium who are through to the next round will face England in their last group fixture next Thursday.
Tunisia are effectively out of the competition after two defeats.
