Lukaku Set To Be Absent Again For Huddersfield

Romelu Lukaku will miss out again as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer prepares for his first home match in charge of United – against Huddersfield. Romelu Lukaku was given time off due to a private matter and missed the trip to Cardiff, where fellow forward Alexis Sanchez was absent through injury.

The Chilean is back in the country after time off to recover from a hamstring issue but his return is unlikely to come until 2019.

Solskjaer is likely to have a similar group of players at his disposal as the 20-man squad he took to Cardiff.

Defenders Chris Smalling, Marcos Rojo and Matteo Darmian were also missing in the Welsh capital, as were full-back Antonio Valencia and midfielder Scott McTominay.

Solskjaer gave clues to his starting eleven by substituting Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Nemanja Matic at Cardiff, suggesting all three will start on Wednesday.
