The draw for the maiden edition of Women’s WAFU Cup of Nations will hold in Abidjan the capital of Cote D’ Voire on January 9, 2018, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
Eight countries, namely; host Cote D’ Ivoire, Ghana, Nigeria, Togo, Niger, Burkina Faso, Senegal and Benin Republic are scheduled to vie for honours. Hosts Ivory Coast and Nigeria are the two seeded teams.
The championship billed for February 8 to 24 will see the eight teams drawn into two groups with hosts Cote D’ Ivoire in Group A and the highest ranked FIFA team in Africa in Group B.
