The crises in Nigerian football is definitely far from over as immediate past President of the Nigeria Football Federation, Aminu Maigari, General Secretary of the NFF, Musa Amadu and Sports Minister Tammy Danagogo have all been charged for contempt of court by the Federal High Court in Jos, following the elections into the NFF board which held on Tuesday, September 30, 2014.

A court injunction obtained by Vice President of the Chris Giwa led NFF, Obinna Ogba and member of the same board, Yahaya Adama for themselves and on behalf of the members of the Chris Giwa led NFF board, dated September 19th, had restrained Maigari, Amadu, Danagogo and the Plateau State Football Association (defendants) from holding the Annual General Assembly of September 20th, and the elective congress of September 30th.

But both the Annual General Assembly and the elective congress held on the said dates, and sl10.ng can report that a charge of contempt of court has been brought against the defendants.

A copy of the court document has been placed at the entrance of the ‘Glass House’, which is the secretariat of the Nigeria football federation. The bailiff arrived at about 3.15pm local time and was allowed to place the notice without any resistance from the security operatives present.

The court document is titled: ‘NOTICE TO SHOW CAUSE WHY ORDER OF COMMITTIAL TO PRISON FOR CONTEMPT OF THE ORDER OF THIS COURT SHOULD NOT BE MADE AGAINST YOU’
Efforts to reach any of the defendants have so far prived abortive.
