Cote d'Ivoire midfielder Yaya Toure has been left out of Manchester City's squad for the UEFA Champions League group stages.
However, Nigeria youngster Kelechi Iheanacho, who was left out at this stage last season, has been included.
Iheanacho only recently signed an extension to his contract, apparently after impressing Pep Guardiola.
Toure is included in City's Premier League squad though.
The Ivorian has seen very little playing time since Guardiola succeeded Manuel Pellegrini as City manager in the summer.
Toure was expected to join Wilfried Bony, Samir Nasri and Joe Hart in leaving the Etihad before Wednesday's transfer deadline, but the midfielder has stayed.
The Blues will face Barcelona, Borussia Monchengladbach and Celtic in Group C after coming through their play-off tie with Steaua Bucharest.
