Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal believes bitter rivals Manchester City are vulnerable ahead of today’s derby.
The Dutch boss will take charge of his first Manchester derby at the Etihad Stadium but the hosts are in poor form.
When asked if City look vulnerable, he said: “It looks like it in the last few games.”
Angel Di Maria insists that his experience of derby matches in Argentina will drive him on in today’s clash against City.
The playmaker appeared for Rosario Central against hated rivals Newell’s Old Boys during the early part of his career and he says the passion in his home country is fierce.
“Derby games can be a nightmare over there. If you lost it would be a case of not being able to go out, not just for two or three days but two or three weeks, until you got it out of your system.”
The club are keen on Bayer Leverkusen defender Omer Toprak.
United scouts ran the rule over the £12-rated centre-back in the German club’s Champions League win over Zenit Saint Petersburg last week.
Liverpool and Tottenham are also interested in the Turkey international.
