Nigerian striker Obafemi Martins featured for his Chinese Super League club Shanghai Shenhua in a 1-1 draw with Swiss top division side FC Luzern in a pre-season game on Tuesday, Completesportsnigeria.com (CSN) reports.
Shanghai Shenhua had on Friday last week lost 2-1 to Scottish Premiership club Partick Thistle.
Cao Yunding salvaged a draw for Shanghai Shenhua after Shkelqim Demhasaj had scored the opening goal for FC Luzern.
Martins, who has had stints with clubs in Italy, England, Germany, Spain and Russia, scored seven goals in 13 league appearances last season for Shanghai Shenhua.
Martins will be heavily relied upon this season after Calos Tevez left the club.
Shenhua next face Viktoria Plzen in another pre-season friendly game on Wednesday (today) and Norwegian club, Odds Ballklubb, commonly known as Odd, on Thursday before battling Japanese football club Kashima Antlers in their opening group game in the Asian Champions League on February 14.
