Nigeria striker Obafemi Martins is in line for action for Seattle Sounders when they take on Vancouver Whitecaps Fc on Saturday after he was given a clean bill of health by his coach Sigi Schmid, completesportsnigeria.com reports.
The former Nigerian international has been out of action for six weeks due to a groin injury but completed Tuesday’s training exercise at the Seattle Sounders ground.
He will be a massive boost to a Sounders side that have failed to win their last three games.
“Oba is getting better, he is feeling more comfortable,” Schmid told the Sounders website.
“‘Oba is back and the healthier we are, the better for us.”
The former Levante star has scored seven goals in 11 MLS games this season.
