Chelsea midfielder Nemanja Matic has hailed his midfield partnership with Mikel Obi in the Blues' last four games.
Matic who admits the 28-year-old Nigerian midfielder is more defensive minded than him says playing with club legend Frank Lampard was perfect for his development.
"Mikel is more defensive than me so the coach has given me more freedom than him to go further forward and help Cesc Fabregas and the other attacking players," Matic told chelseafc.com.
"Obi, Cesc and Rami are a lot closer to my own age, so it’s a bit different, but playing with Frank was great for my development.
"My position is defensive midfielder but I will do whatever it takes to help the team, so whatever the coach asks me to do I am happy with that."
Matic also revealed he is delighted to play alongside any of the trio of Obi, Cesc Fabregas and Ruben Loftus-Cheek in midfield.
He added: "It's great when you have good players to work with. I'm always happy to be part of such a big team, it doesn't matter whether I play with Obi, Cesc or somebody else, they are all great players.
"We also have young Ruben Loftus-Cheek, he's done very well when he's played and he shows in training that he has the quality to have a big future at the club. I'm very happy with my team-mates."
