Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi has been passed fit and included in the club's 18-man squad for the El Clasico clash against Real Madrid.
Barcelona's record goalscorer has been out of action since suffering a knee ligament injury against Las Palmas in September.
However, in a medical report issued by the La Liga champions on Friday evening, it was announced that Messi had passed his medical and will travel with the rest of the squad on Saturday morning.
Earlier on Friday, Barca boss Luis Enrique had stated he did not know if Messi would make his return from injury at the Bernabeu.
“We know he’s not going to be 100 per cent fit,” Enrique had said. “He’s coming back from injury and it will depend how he feels, but it’s great for us that he’s back.”
Messi has missed nine matches through injury, with Barca winning seven of those, with both Neymar and Luis Suarez in impressive form in his absence.
